Job Description:
We are looking for a HSE Advisor to join our established HSE Team in Luton / Lincoln. You will be working as part of a small team assessing the existing policies, processes, and systems of work to ensure that Leonardo’s service meets the Customer’s needs, is in line with Leonardo’s policies and processes. The areas of the role include investigation and assessment as well as training, support services, and health, safety & environment.
The HSE Advisor will be working for the site HSE Manager for the Luton Cluster, providing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) advice and support to the various site stakeholders and travel to the sites as required. This role can be based from either our Luton or Lincoln site.
How you will do it
1. Support and guide on various HSE matters
2. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the sites, promoting the development of a positive culture and best practice
3. Deliver continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environmental standards and practices.
4. All HSE aspects across all Luton managed sites
5. The Risk & COSHH assessment databases
6. Safety data sheet listings
7. Contractor and Visitor Inductions
8. Internal HSE auditing on all three standards (ISO 45001, 14001, 50001)
9. Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reporting
10. Update emergency preparedness arrangements & training
11. Document reviews
12. Ensure that the HSE notice board is kept up to date.
13. Lead on HSE projects as assigned by the HSE Manager.
14. Carry out regular site safety inspections
15. Occasional involvement in LEUK wide projects
What we look for
1. Be able to achieve SC level clearance
2. Have a proven track record of delivering HSE improvements
3. Knowledge of ISO Management System ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001
4. Experience of running/auditing HSE management systems
5. Understanding of safety culture development.
6. NEBOSH General as a minimum, ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ level 6
7. Self-starter/able to work on own initiative
8. Good at working with people at all levels
9. Computer literate, with good understanding of MS Office packages
10. Good analytical skills
11. Resilience, ability to work under pressure
12. Willingness to travel and work at other sites
13. Experience of Business Continuity planning
