Whitehall Garden Centre is a family-run and award-winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant at our Woodborough Garden Centre near Pewsey in Wiltshire.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Days of work will be every other weekend and a day off in the week. This is a temporary position until the end of August 2025.
Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance.
2. Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently.
3. Identifying customers' plant needs through interaction and taking appropriate action.
4. Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the centre.
5. Establishing and maintaining an excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping in accordance with company guidelines.
6. Ensuring all products are accurately priced and labelled in accordance with Company Policy.
7. Ensuring personal compliance with Whitehall’s Health & Safety guidelines.
8. Packing of goods is carried out in a professional manner, and carry outs are offered where required.
9. Looking after the plants and managing the stock, including stock replacing and displays.
10. Maintaining a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers, and third parties.
