Description Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £24,790 to £25,183 per annum (Grade D) | County Hall, Norwich An opportunity has arisen for a resourceful person to join the Post 16 Education, Employment and Training (EET) Service as a Participation Assistant. We are looking for someone to join the team as soon as possible. The Post 16 EET Service manages a range of functions to support post 16 learners to engage in education, employment and training - you will be key in helping to support the wide range of work and exciting projects underway in the team. Your role will also include working closely with Guidance Advisers, Young Persons Advisers and other professionals supporting young people and our team of Participation Assistants to ensure that referrals for support with education, employment and training are made in a timely and appropriate manner so that young people get the best service possible. You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be the first point of contact for young people, their parents and carers. We use a multi-method approach to make contact and you will be able to quickly establish a young person’s circumstances and how best we can support/refer them to appropriate services. You will have good literacy and IT skills and will be able to work on your own initiative to problem-solve. Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload are also key for this role and you should be able to work under pressure at times to meet deadlines, demonstrating your flexibility and resilience.
