Job Title: Social Worker
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of looked-after children and young people, providing them with consistent support, guidance, and planning to ensure they achieve positive outcomes and feel empowered as they move towards independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of looked-after children and young people, conducting regular assessments and reviews.
* Develop and implement through care plans tailored to each young person's needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.
* Work closely with foster carers, family members, and professionals from various agencies to provide a holistic support network.
* Prepare reports and assessments for reviews, care planning meetings, and court proceedings.
* Offer advice, advocacy, and support to young people transitioning from care to independence, helping them access resources and services.
* Provide guidance and support to foster carers and family members in their role.
* Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the highest level of care and support for the young people in the team's care.
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working with looked-after children, preferably in a through-care or leaving-care team.
* Strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding procedures, and care planning processes.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with young people and other professionals.
