The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our team as a Heritage Ranger. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the conservation and management of Exmoor's historic sites, monuments, and cultural heritage.
Salary & Benefits
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Conduct surveys, assessments, and monitoring of historical sites, monuments, and cultural heritage features.
* Develop and implement effective conservation and management strategies.
* Collaborate with local stakeholders, community groups, and other partners to promote the park's heritage and engage visitors.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases related to heritage assets and conservation activities.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., archaeology, history, conservation, or environmental science).
* Proven experience in heritage conservation, management, or a related field.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
