Driven to achieve results The Role/Responsibilities: This role requires a deep understanding of sustainability opportunities in the food industry, particularly related to climate / GHG accounting, target-setting, supply chain challenges related to ESG topics. Keen understanding of production agriculture, ag systems and establishing connections with related industries, trade associations and academia. Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and levels internally to manage change and implement projects, targets and policies to achieve internal and customer commitments while also being able to influence and incentivise farmer adoption. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders (such as government agencies, NGOs, academia, trade associations, other ag related industries, etc) and recognized as a subject matter expert in sustainability. Strong partner with division head and commercial leads to develop strategies aligned to customer needs related to sustainability targets and objectives. Must be able to build credibility, confidently present opportunities and influence strategic activities with and for key customers. Develops and maintains inventory of current and potential customer ESG/Sustainability targets and objectives and advises potential strategies to support customers in meeting their commitments – strengthen customer relationships through sustainability.
