This job description describes the key aspects of a IT Technician II role within the practice. An ideal candidate will already have 3-4 years experience working within a similar scale organisation and must be confident in providing one-to-one advice, have an ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, and be able to take initiative when it comes to managing varied tasks. As an IT Technician II, you will be working closely with the IT Services Manager in providing all IT support and IT technical guidance necessary for our company to continue to deliver skilled architectural services globally. This is a full-time, in-office position working out of our studio in London. Expected start date is at the end of November 2024, with first round interviews due to be held in mid-November 2024. While experience working as an IT Technician within the UK Architectural industry itself is not a requirement, it would be highly advantageous. Common and baseline responsibilities Resolving helpdesk issues and providing IT maintenance and support for a studio/region. Reports directly and working along with the IT Services Manager in the London office. Close relationship with the studio and regional Operations Director and Managing Director groups. Shows initiative and ability to work well independently and with others. Exhibits strong organisation and time management skills as well as having a strong attention to detail. Able to pivot and have a "hands-on" working style. Provide technical assistance and support to end-users regarding hardware, software and network-related issues. Respond to all inquiries and is able to offer solutions in a timely manner. Is able to perform routine maintenance tasks such as systems updates, patches and backups. Can identify and resolve technical issues by analysing symptoms, researching causes and can implement appropriate solutions. Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and peripherals. Train end-users on the proper use of hardware and software systems, including application and tools. High-level summary of critical and baseline technical skills, as well as certifications Proficiencies must include: Analytical skills. Excellent verbal and non-verbal skills. Communicating with large and small groups. Training and new employee orientation. Excellent customer service skills. Software: Advanced proficiency in using and administering: Windows desktop operating systems. Mac OSx systems. iOS/Android devices. Microsoft Teams. PC and Laptop Hardware. Audio visual systems. Basic proficiency in using: Server operating systems Networking hardware. Switches and Firewalls. Windows Active Directory. Licensure/Certifications/Education: An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer technology or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
