Your New Role

You will be ensuring that both our people and goods make it their destination safely and timely to meet operational and customer needs.
You will thrive on meeting deadlines and you will be conscious of the safety of your vehicle while also having a keen eye for detail by planning your own routes.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Map out driving routes in advance to determine the most expedient trip, using local knowledge to account for regular congestion and to adapt routes to temporary blockages and issues. Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions.
2. Carry out vehicle inspection at the start of the shift, identifying and booking in any ad hoc maintenance issues; ensure the vehicle is clean and fit for use. Book vehicle in for planned maintenance and cleaning.
3. Collect people or products at designated place and time, ensuring the vehicle is loaded safely and within legal limits. Transport people or products to allotted destination.
4. Complete associated paperwork, noting accurate mileage.
5. Drive with due care and attention, observing all national and local road instructions.
6. Maintain a clean driving license, alerting operational managers to any traffic offences or incidents as needed.

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria:
* Clean driving license.
* Similar experience in a previous driving role.
* ADR preferred but not essential.
