About the Role
* Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Spanish to join our dedicated languages department at Litherland High School. The ideal candidate will use evidence-informed approaches rooted in cognitive science, data-driven assessment, and targeted interventions to drive strong progress and attainment in languages.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver consistently good Spanish teaching, planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
2. Implement a variety of assessment methods to monitor understanding and progress.
3. Set ambitious yet achievable goals for all students.
4. Foster an inclusive classroom environment, working closely with the SEND team.
5. Encourage a growth mindset among students.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with parents and carers.
7. Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities.
8. Follow the school’s Safeguarding policy.
Personal Qualities
* Degree in Spanish
* QTS
* Commitment to ongoing professional learning
* Proven experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and 4
* Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
* Strong and current knowledge of languages content
* Genuine enthusiasm for languages and teaching
