Hourly pay rate: £12.50 per hour. Mileage expenses: 45p per mile
Are you calm, adaptable, creative, and cheerful? We're seeking a dedicated personal assistant to support our energetic 8-year-old daughter, who has Autism.
She has limited verbal communication skills, but she always finds a way to let you know what she needs. She’s physically very active and loves nothing more than running, jumping, climbing, and hanging. Her passions include music, dance, and swimming, and she has a soft spot for sweet treats like chocolates, doughnuts, and ice cream. In this role, you'll be helping her access and enjoy various social and leisure activities, such as short walks, park visits, swimming, soft play, and sensory activities.
You'll provide companionship, offering a friendly and engaging presence, while also ensuring her safety by proactively identifying and managing any risks. Your responsibilities will include driving her to activities—mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile—and assisting with personal care tasks like dressing and undressing. At times, you'll also support her at home, planning and carrying out activities that align with her interests and needs, especially those that involve sensory play.
