Controls Engineer
£45,000 - £49,000 + 10 - 15% Bonus + 15% Pension + Training
Glasgow based role - Early Finish Fridays

Controls Engineer - The Role:
Develop SCADA, HMI and PLC programs for a range of bespoke machinery
Suggest and implement new ideas to better existing base projects & programming and increase efficiency
Bench test programs to ensure as much testing is done before it goes out onto the shop floor
Be involved with the completion of FATs
Occasional travel to customer sites at commissioning phase
Controls Engineer - The Person:
Background in Electrical Service/Maintenance/Commissioning or Controls Engineering
Proven experience fault-find, update or programming PLC, SCADA and HMI, ideally with Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC
Knowledge & experience of process industry specifications and standards
Knowledge of visual basic scripting would be an advantage
Knowledge of JAVA and Python programming languages desirable
Full training will be given to develop your PLC programming skills
Located in East Glasgow, this role would be commutable from Cumbernauld, Airdrie, Shotts, Bellshill, Motherwell, East Kilbride and surrounding areas.
Role would be suitable for Engineers with experience of control systems, either as a dedicated Controls Engineer or with transferable skills from an Electrical Service / Maintenance Engineer or EC&I background.
