Our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanically Biased) on a permanent full-time basis located in York Dishforth. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and will provide engineering support to the production team. Salary: Up to £35,000 (Dependent on Experience) ? Responsibilities: Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis and resolve machinery issues, supporting process and quality improvements. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including breakdown reports and actions taken. Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work adheres to health and safety guidelines. Essential Criteria: Experience: Time-served Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias background with a minimum of 2 years experience. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems; experience with product transfer systems such as elevators, drag-chain, and auger feed systems. Problem-Solving: Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. Good organisational and time management skills Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.
