What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Computing department, including curriculum planning and assessment.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes equality and diversity.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Organise and lead extra-curricular activities related to Computing.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Computing education and integrate them into the curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience in teaching Computing and GCSE Computer Science at secondary level.
Ability to program in a high-level language, ideally Python
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
