Job summary The focus of District Nursing is to support patients towards self-management, enabling them to continue to live as full and productive a life as possible, through education, equipment and or lifestyle changes. We also have the privilege of supporting people and their families at the end of their lives, working in close liaison with the Hospice Teams and Specialist Palliative Care Nurses. Main duties of the job Providing a high standard of care to patients in their own home or clinic environment, this will include a number of clinical competencies: o End of life care - syringe driver and symptom management. o CVAD management o Catheters - male, female and suprapubic o Complex wound care o Drain management o Compression/Dopplers o Bladder Scanning o Holistic assessment of needs o Skin Integrity Nephrostomy care There will be training provided via the Integrated Care Academy for the successful candidate.
