We have a brand-new role for an experienced cloud focussed IT operational manager.
The Platform Team Manager oversees the operational management, infrastructure, and strategic technical requirements of both the Azure Infrastructure and legacy on-premise environment - our platform that supports Hightown service whilst ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of a complex network connecting over 90 sites
Key Responsibilities:
Evolving the design and architecture, overseeing and managing Hightown’s Azure and on-premises infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will line manage a team of Platform Engineers.
Ensure all infrastructure and network operations comply with industry standards, regulations and best practices
Oversee infrastructure-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budgetExperience and Qualifications Required:
Relevant Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Proven experience in designing, managing and maintaining Azure and ion-premises infrastructure
Previous experience in a leadership role with the ability to motivate, manage performance and foster professional development
Strong technical background with expertise in cloud computing, networking and infrastructure management
Qualifications in any of the following would be preferred ITIL v3, Prince, AGILE.From a technical perspective, the following skills and experience would be beneficial:
Strong Technical Support experience in enterprise applications
O365, Teams, Exchange online, PowerShell experience
Considerable Azure experience coupled with good VMware knowledge
In-depth incident management knowledge & understanding of ITSM toolsets
