Scope of Position
1. Provide solutions to regional employers to meet their workforce development needs
2. Market PA CareerLink services to the Berks County business community
Responsibilities
1. Share information on solutions found in the regional Best Practice Report as well as any additional insight gathered during meetings with regional businesses
2. Provide feedback to the Workforce Development Board/Management Team regarding important trends & topics related to workforce from an employer’s perspective
3. Conduct research, facilitate focus groups, write reports, and perform other project-related functions
4. Contact employers by phone or in person and attempt to schedule face-to-face meetings
5. Serve as Lead for the implementation of new initiatives/projects as they are assigned
6. Develop a network for potential business leads and analyze current labor market information
7. Identify and place individuals into traditional OJT opportunities
8. Serve as a presenter for employer-related information when necessary
9. Represent the local area’s participation in regional workforce initiatives
10. Interface with other company departments and employees
11. Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
12. Complete job task analyses and skill gap analyses using Skilldex and/or WorkKeys profiling
13. Assist with the development of marketing materials and outreach initiatives
14. Represent CareerLink at conferences, meetings, and select social functions as required
15. Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
16. Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
17. Other opportunities as available
Qualifications
1. Marketing and sales experience preferred
2. Customer service experience required
3. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
4. Must have strong communication skills (written/verbal)
5. Good interpersonal skills
6. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Human Resources preferred
7. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and be comfortable using, and/or learning to use, programs related to marketing material design
8. Valid driver’s license and an automobile are required
9. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish), but not required
10. 1-3 years of relevant work experience required
