Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with complex needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and skills to support individuals in their learning journey?
A thriving school in the Ipswich area is looking for a dedicated Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dynamic team. Within this role, you will provide personalized support to students with a range of complex physical and emotional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist students with complex needs in their daily activities and learning tasks.
2. Provide 1:1 and small group support to enhance student engagement and progress.
3. Inspire the students to reach their full potential.
4. Work closely with teachers and specialists to create tailored support plans for each student.
5. Offer emotional and social support, helping students build confidence and self-esteem.
6. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a learning support role.
2. A passion for supporting students with a variety of complex needs and helping them reach their full potential.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
5. A proactive, team-focused approach to work.
6. Relevant experience working with children that have complex needs.
7. GCSEs grade C (Pass) or above.
