We're dedicated to supporting students with SEN and ensuring that students reach their full potential.
Over the past few years, we have developed the Foundation curriculum, to create an outcome focussed, student centred way of working. All students are supported to be ready for adulthood, working on their health, employability, independence and being part of the community.
We are looking for additional people to join our Team supporting students with moderate to complex learning difficulties to be successful within our Further Education offering.
The role involves supporting students, either in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis, both in class, in the college social settings and offsite. You will be assisting students with a wide variety of learning needs and in a variety of settings to realise their goals and full potential.
As we are a land based college the classes you support will be varied from supporting in the college zoo, to working with the Chelsea award winning horticulture team. Much of the support is outside and practical.
For all the roles, you will need to have a good standard of education including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent and willingness to undertake further training is essential. Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational or care setting. Is advantageous. We will support you to undertake the role with CPD and support to attain a professional related qualification.
