The Chester Medical School is an exciting new development within the University of Chester, which delivers a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical medicine, medical and biomedical sciences. The School has an opening for a Laboratory Technician to develop and support the practical and research elements of our teaching provision. You organize and participate in laboratory classes and support teaching and research activities within the laboratory environment. You will be educated to Degree level in Biomedical Sciences, or a related area, and have experience of working in an equivalent laboratory environment, preferably with experience of cell culture and molecular techniques. You will have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team delivering biomedical technical support to the users of the School laboratories. You will also be computer literate and numerate. You should have experience within a technical role, good attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise your workload and the work of others, using resources effectively. The ability to work effectively with others and solve problems in line with procedures is required. We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
