As a Production Planner, you will be integral to optimising production processes and ensuring efficient supply chain management. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your role will involve utilising core skills in mechanical knowledge and quality control, while leveraging premium skills in SAGE, ERP systems, and continuous improvement methodologies. You will also apply relevant skills in business processes and assembly to enhance productivity and meet organisational goals. Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery across the multi-disciplined teams.
* Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or issues.
* Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement to address shortages or overstock.
* Communicate regularly with the Commercial team on Build plan performance, target delivery dates, and delays where required.
* Identify potential bottlenecks or risks in production and develop proactive solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
* Raise works orders / Sub contract Pos for external subcontract processing where required, building the process time into the plan.
* Help create and monitor KPI measures for the facility, including Build Plan adherence, downtime, sickness, absence, stock levels, etc.
* Forecasting & Reporting: Provide regular updates on production status to senior management, supporting data-driven insights for strategic planning.
* Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and schedule adherence.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality Control, and Logistics to ensure smooth production processes.
