Job Description Elderly Befriender - Drivers, walkers and bikes needed. Care to Drink Tea and Eat Cake £14.85 per hour, guaranteed hours £13.25 availability to work Monday to Friday and alternate weekends (£14.85 earned wage including holiday pay) Home Instead Cambridge is expanding its team and looking for caring, compassionate Elderly Befriender Care Assistants to support adults living at home with a range of needs throughout Cambridge and in your local area. We currently have various positions in areas CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5, CB21, CB22, CB23, CB24, CB25, and PE27. Drivers are paid mileage paid at 30p per mile. We currently have care vacancies available with immediate starts. With clients needing a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening support. At Home Instead we have a variety of working patterns, these are listed below: 7am-10pm 7am-6pm 7am-2pm 7am-12pm 9am-10pm 2pm -10pm 6pm-10pm All our care professionals work alternative weekends availability and typically work between 10-30 hours per week. We would need the alternate weekend availability to be at least the same as your weekday availability, but more if you are able to so. We're looking for Care Professionals who may already have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Elderly Befriender or in Domiciliary Care. We would also love to hear from anyone who has experience caring for loved ones or been a volunteer. Your role may include: · Companionship · Helping with some possible personal care · Helping with mobility around the home · Overseeing medication and providing medical support · Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming · Preparing and cooking meals · Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions Elderly Befriender to have a Valid UK Driving Licence (with access to a vehicle for work purposes).
