Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef/Cook to join our team working at DC Heywood, Heywood Distribution Park, Lancashire, OL10 2TTYou will be responsible for working collaboratively with the teams regarding food production management to ensure minimal wastage, maintenance of food levels, food quality and brand standards.Aramark UK are making a work life balance achievable whilst still working in hospitality, cultivating your culinary career with a world leading organisation. - This is a part-time position, 30 hours per week, Mainly Monday – Friday with occasional weekends. Shifts range between 8am – 2pm, leaving your evenings free

A day in the life of a Chef/Cook:
- You’ll be cooking and preparing food to the highest standard, adhering to allergen and calorie specifications
- Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating well
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
- To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
- following hygiene and safety procedures
- Occasional operating of tills and handling cash
- Report to line manager any feedback (complaints, suggestions, etc.)
You will be set up for success if you have:⦁ Relevant culinary qualification.⦁ Previous experience of working in a kitchen.⦁ Certificate in food safety (or willing to obtain via our online e-learning).⦁ Excellent team player and communicator.
