Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will already be working in a similar position in primary care. You will be part of our clinical team offering a wide range of services such as phlebotomy, spirometry, ECGs, vaccinations, BP checks, and health checks and be familiar with the Systmone patient record system.
Main duties of the job
Your main duties and responsibilities include:
* Be qualified & competent in a range of services for our patients such as vaccination, phlebotomy, 24-hour and other blood pressure readings, spirometry & asthma checks, ECGs, weight monitoring, foot assessments, wound management, learning disability reviews, and urine analysis.
* Vaccinating and other immunisations such as seasonal flu injections, B12, etc.
* Carrying out baseline observations and facilitating specific patient monitoring.
* Undertaking venepuncture.
* Supporting the Practice Nurse with the management of chronic diseases, healthcare promotions, and specimen analysis.
* Conducting new patient health checks and registrations and other health reviews.
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and upholding infection control and clinical waste protocols.
* Proficient IT skills and experience with Systmone, maintaining accurate records of care provided.
* Able to offer diet, lifestyle, and smoking cessation advice.
* Monitoring and maintaining all medical equipment, including emergency equipment.
* Ensuring all clinical rooms are well-stocked and prepared for consultations.
* Be flexible and helpful and willing to do new services & requirements as needed and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Our GP partners have 2 practices in Bradford heading up a team of experienced, committed, friendly health professionals. This new post is an integral part of that team, and we are looking for a clinical healthcare assistant who is flexible, friendly, helpful, and confident in running their clinics. The atmosphere at the surgery is relaxed but hardworking, and everyone pulls together for the benefit of our patients. You would receive a great salary and generous holiday allowance in line with your experience for this full-time post; part-time would also be considered.

Qualifications
Essential
* You will need to have the following qualifications: GCSE or equivalent passes in maths and English. The necessary recognised certificates of competency and certificates for mandatory requirements for such things as phlebotomy, vaccinating, asthma checks, spirometry, and all the other services we offer as part of our service. You will need to be proficient in IT skills and be familiar with the Systmone system for recording and reporting patient care. You will also have awareness of rules and regulations around Health & Safety Protocols.
Desirable
* It would be desirable for you to have qualifications for all our services and knowledge of doing reviews for such things as smoking cessation and health reviews.
