We have an exciting vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant to join our busy and dedicated team of support staff at Croesyceiliog School.
Our team of LSAs work with a range of our pupils in a number of different ways, some work as 121 support, some work within a class providing support to a number of learners, some of which have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The successful candidate will support pupils whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. They could be asked to work with a child individually or in a group on a programme of work planned and directed by a class teacher. They will be required to liaise with parents / carers where appropriate, keeping them informed of their child’s behaviour and build positive relationships.
The successful candidate will be able to help with the care and support of pupils, encourage them to engage in activities and classroom-based work and to help them keep on task.
We are seeking someone with previous experience of working within a mainstream school or specialist behaviour setting, and who has knowledge and understanding of the principles of child development and barriers to learning.
