Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Choice & Applications Officer for a local authority client based in Romford.
In this role, you will provide support to the Rehousing team by advertising properties, shortlisting and verifying applicants, creating offer letters, and working closely with Housing Association partners to allocate homes efficiently and reduce void turnaround times.
Key Duties:
* Advertise available properties and manage the shortlisting process by verifying applicant eligibility.
* Create and issue offer letters for successful candidates promptly and accurately.
* Support Rehousing Officers in allocating properties to reduce void turnaround times.
* Collaborate with Housing Association partners to match candidates in line with nomination agreements.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
* Experience in housing or administrative support roles.
* Knowledge of property allocation and void management processes.
* Familiarity with nomination agreements and working with Housing Associations.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
What's on offer:
Salary: £16+ph
Contract type: 6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
