Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our dynamic team. The Senior Planner will play a critical role in managing the planning process to ensure optimal production schedules, inventory management, and alignment with customer demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products to retailers.
2. Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to accurately forecast product demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials while minimizing excess stock and waste.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with operations, procurement, sales, and quality assurance teams to align production plans with business objectives and customer requirements.
5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity within the planning function.
6. Reporting: Generate and present reports on production performance, inventory status, and other key metrics to senior management.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the planning process.
Qualifications:
1. Ideally 3 years of experience in production planning within the food industry, preferably in poultry or related sectors.
2. Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
