If so, GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton.\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them access learning and thrive both academically and personally.
You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team, providing tailored support to meet individual learning goals.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProvide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN\nImplement individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies\nFoster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting students’ confidence and independence\nCollaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress\nAssist with classroom management and create a positive learning atmosphere\nThe Ideal Candidate Will:\n\nHave previous experience supporting students with SEN, ideally in a school setting\nBe empathetic, patient, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives\nDemonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills\nHold relevant qualifications or have transferable experience from the care sector, such as working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs\nBe adaptable and proactive in responding to the diverse needs of students\nWhy Join This School?\n\nThis welcoming and inclusive secondary school is committed to inspiring, challenging, and empowering every student.
