Your New Company
Our client is a leading Northern Irish Civil Litigation Law Practice and we’re delighted to be partnering with them in their search for ambitious Litigation Solicitor at Newly Qualified (NQ) level and above to join their impressive Civil Litigation team.
Our client can provide flexibility on working office location throughout Northern Ireland and there is a fantastic package of benefits on offer, including a 4 day working week for full pay after your probation period and hybrid working - 2 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Your New Role
In your new role as the Litigation Solicitor, you will handle and manage your own caseload of Personal Injury and RTA claim files.
You will effectively use the case management system and filing system to monitor and progress client files, take accurate instructions from clients, attend client meetings, explain complex matters to the client including details of court procedure and manage client expectations regarding the process of their claim.
You will answer general client queries regarding their case in accordance with Service Level Agreements, attend inspections, provide clients with legal advice as needed, advise clients post-hearing on implications of court outcomes including prospects of appeal, liaise with third party representatives and insurers, arrange appointments with appropriate medical experts, negotiate settlements of clients' losses and compensation with third party representatives, manage all correspondence, documentation and evidence associated with the file, and advise clients on and make appropriate applications for funding.
You will handle Legal Aid, Legal Expenses and our After the Event Insurance Cover, issue proceedings in the relevant court, attend related court hearings/inquests, prepare court documents and evidence for hearings, attend all consultations and court dates with clients, instruct and brief Junior Counsel as required, and guide any witnesses in attendance on behalf of your client through court procedures and during attendance at various venues.
What You Need To Succeed
* You will be a qualified solicitor at Newly Qualified level and Solicitors with additional PQE will also be eligible to apply.
* Have experience in personal injury and/or road traffic accident (RTA) matters.
* Be able to run your own client files.
* Ensure that Service Level Agreements are achieved.
* Adhere to Professional Standards and regulations.
