Main Purpose and Scope of Job
To fully support the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance to company policies, system procedures, work instructions, and specifications. Driving improvements, the Senior Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Ensure the timely completion of 8Ds including the implementation of corrective actions.
2. Complete Gemba walks around site to support continuous improvement.
3. Support the upkeep of the Business Management System.
4. Be the first point of escalation for serious quality issues.
5. Be proficient in Quality standards and methodologies such as 8D's, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP.
6. Carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required within the organisation.
7. Support Customer and Third-Party Audits.
8. Support all internal departments with quality-related matters.
9. Be fully conversant in reading engineering drawings.
10. Read and understand customer specifications/POs in order to support completion contract reviews.
11. Assist in maintaining and adhering to the organisations accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO9001 and all customer requirements.
Knowledge Required
1. Create Processes & Procedures.
2. Create and Upkeep Quality Metrics.
3. 8D completion including fishbone/5Why's.
4. Lead and support Problem resolution activities.
5. Carry out Internal Audits.
6. The ability to read engineering drawings.
7. AS9100D awareness.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Formal Engineering Training.
2. Creation of Processes & Procedures.
3. Problem Resolution & Root Cause Analysis.
4. Analytical data review.
5. AS9100 / ISO9001 Audit Trained.
