The post-holder will practise as an HCPC Registered BMS in the department, participating fully in the practical work of the department and shift for out of hours provision. They will be responsible for the operation and provision of a high quality technical service providing guidance to other staff as appropriate. They will also be expected to deputise for the Site Lead Haematology BMS in their absence. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of a quality, efficient and a timely haematology Service as requested by the service users, ensuring departmental protocols, policies and standard operating procedures are adhered to and updated to comply with regulatory and accreditation requirements including UKAS Standards for the Medical Laboratory ISO 15189:2022.
