Job Description
Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical Inspector, who will be required to work on a long-term contract basis in Reading.
Job Role Responsibilities:
1. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
2. Inspecting equipment ranging from Class 1 nuclear pressure equipment to items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
1. Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.
2. Experience and understanding or the ability to learn nuclear and conventional codes and standards relating to Inspection of Electrical equipment on a Nuclear or related high hazard site, including installation, punch lists, reporting, and full NCR process.
3. Proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work.
4. Experience managing a range of stakeholders with a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection.
5. Good technical writing and communication skills.
6. Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements.
7. Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001.
8. Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years' experience with the following qualifications:
2. ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related or:
3. Minimum full apprenticeship and C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection.
4. 16th/17th/18th Edition.
5. CSCS Card or equivalent Safety Passport.
6. Ability to gain security clearance (you must have been working inside the UK the past 5 years and be a sole British national).
