NRL have an exciting opportunity to work for an esteemed client of ours. This will be working as a Electrical Commissioning Engineer on the first new generation nuclear power station in the UK and once in operation, will provide low carbon electricity for millions of homes over several decades.
Responsibilities
To make a positive impact in the delivery of site commissioning activities including supervision of contractor commissioning personnel on behalf of the client to achieve safe & successful commissioning of systems.
HV, LV, DC or generator systems but will be expected to work across all electrical disciplines at various times during the commissioning programme, this includes system voltages at 400kV, 10kV, 400VAC, 690VAC 220VDC and control voltages.
Contribute key information to assist the Commissioning Manager and Senior Commissioning Manager in meeting project-level milestones & objectives.
Liaise with the design team and with Project Managers for electrical deliverables.
Develop & production of commissioning documentation relating to system validation activities and commissioning testing.
Produce commissioning documents and undertake plant commissioning.
High knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) legal and management system requirements.
Requirements
* Degree educated, in Electrical Engineering or a related subject, or HND / HNC or equivalent experience.
* Questioning mindset, solution focused.
* Exceptional communicator.
* Ability to present ideas effectively.
* Clearance Requirements: BPSS Cleared or ability to achieve this.
