Job summary Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic general practice nurse development lead to join us on a 9 month fixed term contract for up to 5 sessions per week. (1 session equates to 4 hours 10 minutes) This role will support the successful achievement of nursing staffing targets who remain in the profession and encourage staff to train, specifically the implementation of the nursing preceptorship, mentoring and further training and development opportunities across the nursing spectrum. Main duties of the job Support the implementation of practice nursing clinical governance models in practice to ensure a consistent approach to quality standards across all areas of work. Support practices to identify training opportunities to develop practice nursing staff in line with the ICS Workforce Recruitment and Retention Plan and NHSE Long Term Workforce Plan. Support the recruitment and workforce development plan of nursing staff working closely with the Quality and Attainment Clinical Leads, Primary Care Workforce Mangers, Officers, Educational Leads, Head of Primary Care Workforce and the Head of Professional Education, Training and Development for the ICB. Use findings from clinical and other audits including those undertaken at a national level to strategically plan a programme of continuing professional development and training for general practice nursing.
