We are seeking Trainee Accountants to join our Ipswich office in early 2025. We are open to considering both entry level, and part-qualified candidates (AAT or ICAEW/ACCA). We have opportunities available in our Business Services, Corporate Services and Corporate Tax teams. By joining us as a Trainee Accountant you will be able to study for professional qualifications whilst also gaining vital hands-on, task-focussed work experience in our busy, growing, multi-disciplinary practice. If starting or continuing the AAT qualification, you will follow formal training through an apprenticeship framework. We would expect applicants to be non-graduates and require you to have achieved either: a minimum of 2 A levels at Grade C or above (including Maths) OR the equivalent standard in vocational qualifications. If the qualification type varies from this, the application will be assessed on an individual basis. If you do not hold a Maths A level, then we expect a minimum attainment of Grade 6 / Grade B in GCSE Maths. Once AAT qualified you may go on to study for chartered qualifications. As an entry level applicant to start or continue the ICAEW (also known as ACA) or ACCA trainee programme, we would expect you to be a graduate with an attained minimum 2:1 degree. Alternatively for part-qualified candidates, you will have already attained the AAT qualification within a UK practice environment. Key skills required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Self motivated, hard working, flexible and prepared to undertake some travel. Ambitious with drive and resilience. Enthusiasm with a keen interest in learning and professional development. Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail.
