Job Description
JAB Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Harding Facilities Removal & Disposal Project Engineer for our Operator client on a 12-month duration. This role will be based in Kingswells.
Key Responsibilities:
* Main Objectives: Provide Project Engineering support for the delivery of the Harding Facilities Removal & Disposal Project.
* Work with the Project Lead, Project Manager, Structural Lead and the wider team to support the project through the initiate and appraise/select phases.
Project Management:
* Maintain project documentation, including risk registers, action trackers, decision registers and other project management documents as per the project roadmap.
* Support risk management, change control and plan execution across the project.
* Provide input into updates of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and help maintain it as a live document.
* Coordinate preparation of Project deliverables required for progressing through the Stage Gate process.
* Contribute to the Project Schedule and provide regular updates to the Project Planner on activity progress.
* Facilitate Project input into the IAP process.
Compliance and Coordination:
* Promote compliance with the management system and project delivery framework.
* Plan and coordinate contractor/vendor scopes as required.
* Source information for delivery to external parties.
* Deputise for Project Lead as needed.
Qualifications:
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Project engineering experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary team with decommissioning content.
Experience/ Knowledge/Skills:
* Effective relationship builder at all levels, internally and externally.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written and presentation).
* Strong initiative and focus on delivery.
* Innovative problem-solving approach with clear expectations.
* Experience of risk and change management processes.
* Knowledge of contracting and procurement strategy/management.
* Knowledge of project delivery framework/procedures.
* Knowledge and experience of financial control, cost estimating and planning.
Interactions:
* Internal interactions: Harding Facilities Removal & Disposal Project team, D&D Project team, P&A Project team, IAP interface and management, governance, TA's, Engineering Team, Offshore Operations team and Onshore Operations hub team.
* External interactions: Engineering and delivery subcontractors, 3rd parties such as IBV, MWS, Engineering verification and Estimating Services.
