Job summary As part of HEEs Primary Care Educational Roadmap to Practice, we are looking for an FCP Paramedic who is able to provide a high quality, cost effective service to the patients of Malling PCN. Undertaking clinical assessment, diagnosing and evaluation of care while working within defined procedures and protocols set by their Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director. To be responsible for seeing patients in practice sites and visiting patients in their place of residence, who present with a wide range of minor illnesses, urgent and same day requests for treatment and chronic disease management, providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. The post holder will need to demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills. There will be the need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner. About us Primary Care Networks (PCNs) were formed in 2019 as a key part of the NHS Long Term Plan. The aim of the networks is to provide the structure and funding for services to be developed locally, in response to the needs of the patients they serve. Our PCN is formed of five local practices: West Malling Group Practice, Thornhills Medical Practice, Snodland Medical Practice, Wateringbury Surgery and Phoenix Medical Practice, and serves a combined population of about 60,000. Training requirements will be monitored by yearly appraisal and will be in accordance with PCN requirements, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and or professional development. Personal development will be encouraged and supported by the PCN. It is the individuals responsibility to remain up to date with recent developments. Participate in the education and training of students of all disciplines and the introduction of all members of the practice staff where appropriate Maintain continued education by attendance at courses and study days as deemed useful or necessary for professional development, ensuring mandatory requirements are met.
