What will your responsibilities be : As a Band 6 Microbiology Biomedical Scientist, responsibilities include performing a wide range of microbiological tests and analyses to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and adhering to strict quality control protocols are key aspects of this role. Collaboration with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide expert advice on microbiological matters is essential. The role also involves training and supervising junior staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory. Qualifications and Experiences: HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent Significant experience in a microbiology laboratory Proficiency in a range of microbiological techniques and methodologies Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and strong analytical skills Commitment to continuous professional development How to apply?
