Role: Agricultural Sales Manager
Salary & benefits: Up to £75,000 basic, Company car (fully electric), company laptop, mobile phone, 28 days holiday, bonus scheme

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager who has had previous experience specialising in the agriculture industry to join our client's rapidly expanding manufacturing organisation. This is a brand-new role for our client, and this is the start of their growth around the UK, so this is the perfect opportunity for someone to get out and about to customers and sell our client's products to a range of new clients as well as maintain the existing client database too. It is a brilliant opportunity to join a company who are going through significant growth and where there is plenty of career progression opportunities. However, a hunting mentality is required, and you must be up for a challenge to take on this role.
Responsibilities
1. Sell agricultural products to both new and existing customers.
2. Gain market intelligence.
3. Develop market territory.
4. Matching the right products/services to customers.
5. Frequent travel around the UK visiting current and potential new customers (closing sales) - Infrequent travel to the company's office, when not on the road you will be working from home.
6. Further telephone and email communication.
7. Work to targets.
8. Pricing products, negotiating and quoting customers.
9. Building long-term relationships.
10. Ensuring that the CRM is kept up to date and in line with GDPR and legislation.
11. Resolve any customer complaints to maintain customer loyalty.
12. Work closely with the management team, for example organising samples to ensure that the customer has a full understanding.
13. Expanding industry knowledge by attending workshops and reading literature to keep on top of market intelligence.
14. Improve and maintain cost price increase plans.
15. Produce monthly reporting figures and work closely with the department head to identify new opportunities.
The Person
1. Proven sales experience in the agriculture industry or similar.
2. Strong market knowledge of agriculture and the equipment used.
3. Excellent negotiation and consultative skills.
4. Outstanding customer service.
5. Full UK driving licence and happy to travel frequently around the UK.
6. Previous experience working to targets and proven history of achieving their targets.
7. 'Hunting' mentality.
8. Educated to degree or equivalent within either horticulture & plant science.
9. Experience of driving performance and increasing profitability.
10. Experience of building and finalising new opportunities - proven track record is required.
