This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) requires flexibility to cover both Watford General Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital, with Hemel Hempstead as the base site.
Accuracy and efficiency are essential, ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience during what can be a stressful time.

This is a varied role and the post holder must be able to flexibly provide cover across sites.
Using the referral management centre where new patient referrals are registered onto our hospital patient administration system per day.
Our busy reception desks dealing with patients face-to-face, ensuring they are booked in and directed to the appropriate waiting areas.
Handling large volumes of calls, calling and agreeing outpatient appointments with patients as well as dealing with other appointment related queries.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

To alert the team leader of any potential problems in meeting waiting time targets and liaise with the cardiac physiology staff about waiting times for test clinics.
To ensure that all cardiology tests, X-ray, blood results and patient notes are available when requested. Ensure test results are sent to GP’s in a timely fashion and files according to current office practice
Book clinics for follow up appointments for clinics held in the department, plus those referred back to the department from other departments
To prioritise workload at the direction of the team leader.
Any other ad-hoc duties as may be requested by your manager.
Any other appropriate administrative duties as requested in order to flexibly meet the needs of the service.
