Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: Minehead, Somerset Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application We are looking for a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our client’s inpatient team in Somerset. This role offers an immediate start for a short-term contract. If you are passionate about providing exceptional psychiatric care and are available to start right away, we would love to hear from you. What will your responsibilities be? You will assess, diagnose, and treat adult patients with various mental health disorders. Leading a multidisciplinary team (MDT), you will develop individualised, evidence-based care plans in line with NICE guidelines. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, you will facilitate early transfer and discharge planning to optimise patient outcomes. You will maintain high clinical governance standards, participate in quality improvement and service development, and engage in MDT meetings, case discussions, and clinical audits. Additionally, you will supervise and train junior medical staff, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to mental health legislation.
