Description Overview: Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an experienced and accredited Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Milton Keynes/London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making, ensuring the financial health of the company. As a key member of the finance team, you will help drive strategic initiatives while maintaining day-to-day financial operations. This is a full time role, working from our Milton Keynes office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Friday. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analyses. Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making by senior management. Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical trends, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Financial Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (UK GAAP/US GAAP), and company policies. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and financial records. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the sales, marketing, and product development teams, to support financial planning and reporting for new product launches and campaigns. Act as a business partner, providing financial guidance and support to non-finance departments. System and Process Improvements: Assist in the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support the implementation of new accounting software or ERP systems, ensuring proper integration with existing processes. Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the finance team, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. Work closely with the finance manager and senior management to support wider financial initiatives. Qualifications: Fully or part accredited (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with a proven track record in management accounting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a product-based or manufacturing environment or 3-5 years of experience in Big 4. Strong understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP/US GAAP) and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., D365/Navision/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
