The Role The role of the Field Sales Representative within the Customer and Commercial Team is to be the initial ‘face’ of Voneus, representing our brand in your area and introducing our products and services to potential customers located in rural communities, and helping build and support our customer base. Reporting to the Head of Field Sales - North, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising activities in your specific area to convert prospects into successful customers through a variety of sales methods such as door-to-door, events, and presentations. This is an exciting role where you will be helping to change the connectivity landscape of rural villages and towns, influencing how we engage with communities and where we roll out life-changing gigabit-capable networks to areas with terrible internet connections. When we roll out fibre and wireless networks, we really make a difference to our customers’ lives by helping them stay connected where it matters most. You will be joining an established team within Voneus, which is unique because we care about our communities, our customers, and each other. This is a tight-knit squad of diverse people, so we are looking for someone who is the right fit: someone who is sales orientated, positive, driven, and likes to get stuck in. This full-time, field-based role will involve Saturday work as well as regular travel and occasional overnight stays, so you must hold a Full UK Driving License, be comfortable driving in all weather conditions, on all types of roads and over distances, working weekends and being away from home. Ideally, you will live in the Manchester, Leeds or Wakefield areas. We are looking for someone who is: A team player, who has a great personality, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Able to work on their own initiative and with minimal supervision. Goal and target orientated Able to communicate effectively and easily, both verbally and written. Knowledgeable in using a CRM, such as Salesforce or Zoho. Your role will be to: Build relationships with key personnel, residents, and businesses within the community. Research and evaluate customer needs and desires. Monitor sales targets and work to meet them individually and as a team. Support the sales funnel by gathering quality prospect data to convert to customers. Support the marketing team by obtaining information regarding local and county activities as well as monitoring any competitor activity. Present Voneus and its services at community gatherings, events, and shows. Standards and Ethos: Be customer-centric in everything you do.
