Role: Shift Engineer, Wafer Fab Equipment
Reports to: Wafer Fab Equipment Engineering (Sustaining) Manager

Summary
You will provide Equipment Engineering support to the Manufacturing and Process Engineering groups within the Wafer Fab at the Caswell site. This will include day-to-day production equipment support, fault finding & repair of production equipment and associated systems, driving improvement initiatives to increase uptime & OEE.
Key Responsibilities
* Repair and preventative maintenance (PMs) of specialist semiconductor processing equipment.
* Oversee chemical, gases and spare parts control, chemical fills and waste management.
* Instruct and mentor equipment technicians and junior equipment engineers.
* Liaison with equipment and spares suppliers and specialist service providers.
* Develop and deliver preventative maintenance strategies.
* Ensure that team members are motivated towards achieving objectives.
* Ensure cross training of Equipment Technicians and Engineers.
* Responsible for driving Total Productive Maintenance practices.
* Define, allocate and monitor key improvement projects.
* Produce monthly reports detailing equipment performance and project status.
* Represent the group at production, planning and scrap meetings.
* Work with supply chain to manage Wafer Fab Equipment spare parts inventory.
* Adhere to all site safety and environmental procedures.
* Support site emergency response function.
* Provide shift cover as required.

Qualifications
* An HNC/HND or Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent) and/or 10 years of directly related experience.
Skills
Essential:
* At least 5 years experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
* Ability to follow documented procedures without close supervision.
* Ability to document procedures.
* Good time-management and organizational skills.
* Computer literate with the ability to use the Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience of working in a team and managing stakeholders.
Desirable:
* Experience in the maintenance and repair of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Other Requirements
* Flexible approach to working hours, able to work overtime as required.
* Working within a cleanroom environment with the use of cleanroom clothing.
* Self-motivated.
* Excellent communication skills including written and spoken English.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.
* The ability to attend site is essential; the site is situated in a rural location.
