Process Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at a global medical technology company in Plymouth. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday day time role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct 4 block updates on focus lines and implement basic maintenance processes for designated product lines.
* Generate initiatives to return lines to optimal performance and provide direction to shift teams on problematic areas using data analysis.
* Drive centre lining activities for sustained line performance and implement quality improvements to reduce TQN and QN.
* Attend meetings to provide engineering status of line and agree resource deployment and timings to close losses.
* Resolve repeat loss issues using systematic problem-solving techniques and support CI projects/validations to improve equipment reliability.
* Coach employees on continuous improvement methodologies & tools and be responsible for supporting equipment breakdown if required.

Your Background:
* HNC or Degree level education in Engineering/Mechatronics or a similar field of study.
* 5+ years technical or manufacturing experience with several years of experience working with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment.
* Experience working in a busy manufacturing setting, confident independent thinking, and excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
* Strong understanding of Quality Systems and some PLC experience preferred but not essential.

Estimated Salary:
£60,000 - £80,000 per annum
