Position: Specialist Support Worker
Location: Fife
Pay: Up to £22 per hour
Shifts: Day and Waking Night available

A successful specialist support worker will be responsible for:
6. Dedicate your experience and skills to support a teenager with autism and mental health issues
7. Provide day-to-day support including activities, appointments, and family contact (driver's licence and business insurance preferred)
8. Engage and encourage children or young people to participate in activities and establish structure
9. Provide accurate reports to support care plans and goals
To be successful in your specialist support worker application, you will::
10. Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
11. Confidence to de-escalate situations and work with colleagues during heightened behaviours
12. Prior CAMHS training desirable, but training will be provided
13. Ability to make decisions and take action in challenging situations
14. Strong communication and judgement skills
15. Creativity in engaging and building trust with children and young people
16. Commitment to maintaining personal and professional boundaries

17. Be a consistent part of a team offering dedicated support
18. Maintain availability for the duration of support required
19. Take time to gain insight into the child or young person through relevant reports and profiles

23. Non-judgmental attitude
24. Resilience in stressful situations and willingness to try new engagement strategies

Skills and Training:
26. Driver's licence and business insurance preferred
27. PVG or willing to support new application
28. Registered with relevant regulatory body
29. PMVA trained or willing to undergo training
