About the Role:
We are looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will play a vital role in providing tailored support, helping students develop confidence, independence, and essential skills in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support or work with small groups of children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Adapt learning materials to suit the needs and abilities of students, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
Support students in developing their communication, social, and emotional skills.
Use a range of strategies and interventions, including visual aids, sensory activities, and structured routines, to support learning.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), therapists, and parents to provide the best possible support for students.
