URGENT REQUIREMENT
Operations Director
Location: UK-Based Remote
Package: Base Salary Circa £100k - £130k + Bonus + Benefits
Role Overview
As the Operations Director, you will lead all operational aspects of the organisation, enhancing and optimising procedures with a key focus on implementing agreed strategies. You will govern how the business operates, hold leadership roles accountable for their responsibilities and strategic objectives, and drive operational and process improvements to enhance the business's operational efficiency, ultimately achieving target gross and net profits.
Leadership & Management:
1. Line management of non-fee-earning business functions/teams.
2. Oversee all operational services, including Finance, HR, Risk, Legal, IT, and Marketing.
3. Develop and manage the operational support team.
Strategy & Planning:
1. Lead strategic planning, coordination, and reporting.
2. Collaborate with other Board members to develop functional strategies and plans.
3. Focus on strategy related to budgets, targets, and outputs.
Operational Improvements:
1. Drive continuous improvement across all business operations.
2. Implement operational changes to enhance efficiency and performance.
3. Develop and execute operational strategies for change and continuous improvement.
Financial Management:
1. Oversee day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, monitoring, and risk management.
2. Ensure all business sectors and profit centers operate effectively within budget.
3. Manage credit control, cash flow, and business insurance.
4. Implement appropriate audit and control measures.
5. Full accountability for financial compliance and reporting.
Risk Management:
1. Lead effective risk management across the organisation.
2. Scrutinise, qualify, and ensure cost efficiency in contract proposals.
Required Experience
1. ACMA qualification is highly desirable.
2. Extensive experience in professional service business environments.
3. Experience working within a "consulting" business setting.
4. Proven understanding of contract/agreement scrutiny and cost efficiency.
5. Demonstrated experience in central service and support function roles.
6. High degree of financial literacy.
7. Proven management and leadership skills.
8. Experience in strategic business planning and implementing change.
9. Track record of driving continuous improvement.
10. Experience ensuring EBITDA is linked to operational processes and improvement strategies.
