About the Role:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans for our service users and their carers. Your work will be guided by our Operational Policy, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, independence, and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Support service users in social, leisure, educational, and occupational activities.
Assist individuals in transitioning from hospital to community living, maintaining stable housing, applying for welfare benefits, and improving budgeting skills.
Collaborate with team members to help service users manage symptoms, medication, co-existing substance misuse problems, and risks.

Work with people to identify and achieve their outcomes with a focus on recovery and promoting independence
Practice in a reflective and professional manner
Promote and value the rights, responsibilities and diversity of people
Promote and maintain effective communication with service users.
Work with others to develop settings and contexts that promote mental health
Enable individuals and families to improve their wellbeing and mental health.
Offer mutual support and engagement to individuals, families, groups, communities, and agencies.
Assess and support the needs of carers and families, developing and reviewing support programs.
A Mental Health Support Worker plays a vital role in helping individuals with mental health challenges. They provide practical and emotional support, assist with daily activities, and help clients access resources and services.

Essential requirements:
Basic understanding of English and Maths
Awareness of types of mental health problems and their impact on lives of individuals and their carers
Some knowledge of mental health policy and legislation
