Location : Glastonbury, Somerset Contract : Permanent, Full time What will you be responsible for? As a HGV Mechanic, you'll be working within the Transport team, supporting them by working on HGV's, LGV's and vans, performing truck repair and maintenance works in accordance with factory and industry standards, running diagnostics on vehicles, and working closely with other team members. Your day to day will include: Carrying out preventative vehicle maintenance and servicing, MOT preparation and repairs, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects, making all works & repairs in a safe & timely manner exceeding DVSA standards Diagnosing faults and rectifying faults using specialist market leading diagnostic equipment Road testing vehicles & presenting for test (licence dependant), completing administrative tasks such as record keeping Being on call in winter months for vehicle break downs, supporting our fleet of gritters across Somerset What are we looking for? This role of HGV Mechanic is great for you if: You have an NVQ Level 2 or are fully qualified and hold a HGV driving licence / training can be provided for a HGV licence Can demonstrate previous experience as a vehicle technician Feel comfortable maintaining plant / machinery We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
