We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Contracts Manager (Decent Homes). As an integral member of the expanding supply chain and procurement team, you will play a crucial role in defining the future of our specifications, contracts, and tenders. This position offers extensive collaboration opportunities and significant visibility for both you and your contributions.
The role and what you take care of:
* This key role supports the Magna standard and E2E asset management by understanding decent homes, regulatory needs, and ensuring proper warranty execution. Known for achieving value for money, the role involves developing partnerships, standardising components and work statements/specifications, challenging stakeholders to meet standards, providing strategic direction, and embedding sustainable asset procurement practices, promoting a right first time, every time culture.
* Develop and maintain Decent Homes Specifications, ensuring uniformity and a standardised approach for comprehensive procurement across Magna.
* Collaborate with Asset Management departments and the Procurement Business Partner to formulate specifications, tender strategies, and draft contracts.
* Provide technical expertise, evaluate tender submissions, and manage relationships with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
What you need to be successful:
* Demonstrable experience in a comparable professional role, including expertise in contract drafting and management, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Sound understanding of procurement processes pertinent to public sector organisations, with experience in change projects.
* A good understanding of strategic asset management.
* Comprehensive experience as a procuring manager, encompassing business requirements mapping, specification development, contracts implementation & operation, and sector resource management, while collaborating with senior leaders, networks, and suppliers at national levels.
* Advantageous qualifications include degrees in construction, business administration, or fields related to contract interpretation and comprehension, such as law. Additionally, industry-specific training that typically includes health and safety training.
